IceFire is a composition for Alto Saxophone and Piano and was written during an extended power outage in the year 2000 while I was living in El Dorado, Arkansas. It is dedicated Dr. Jackie Lamar, my saxophone professor while attending the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. Dr. Lamar premiered this work at one of the regional NASA conferences in 2001. I have orchestrated the accompaniment for wind ensemble and that is available through my website. This work appears in the Jean-Marie Londeix book Comprehensive Guide to Saxophone Repertoire.
