Transformations I was written in late 1997 for my saxophone instructor, Dr. Jackie Lamar. She has a wonderfully expressive quality to her playing as well as fantastic altissimo chops. This work goes through many moods and textures. In 2014, Todd Oxford included this composition in his wonderful saxophone recording Synaesthesia.
