This work was written at the request of my friend and band director extraordinaire, Kevin Dunn. I grew up next to the Saline River, which is the longest undammed river in Arkansas. Growing up, it was a great place for camping, fishing, hunting and swimming. This work is a standard band overture and on the Arkansas contest list as a grade 1.
