Skyline Fanfare and Theme was written in 2002 while I was a band director at Smackover, AR. The first fanfare and theme I ever heard was John Williams Olympic Fanfare and Theme and I have loved the fanfare and theme form since hearing that wonderful composition.
This work is written with the full concert band in mind. There is a large percussion break in the middle, allowing you to feature a larger than usual percussion section. There are obviously some influences by Jack Stamp and Ron Nelson throughout. This composition would make an exciting opener for concert and/or festival.
